Memorial Day is a federal holiday where we remember the men and women who died for us while serving in the county’s military. Observed on the last Monday of May every year, Memorial Day started as Decoration Day after the American Civil War in 1868. On this day many people visit cemeteries and volunteers place American Flags on graves at national cemeteries.
We thank all of our service men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live in freedom. May God bless you and your families on this day.
